🌸 My Thoughts
This book felt like wrapping up in a warm blanket with a cup of tea — if that blanket came with fae curses and brooding magicians. Half a Soul is a beautifully cozy fantasy set against the backdrop of Regency London, and it charmed me from page one.

Theodora (Dora) is absolutely perfect in all her awkwardness — her bluntness and emotional detachment make for so many unintentionally hilarious moments, and I adored her for it. Watching her slowly begin to understand her feelings was such a satisfying journey. It’s subtle, but powerful.

Then there’s the magician. The grumpy, prickly, slightly dramatic magician who doesn’t lose himself in the romance — instead, he grows alongside Dora, in a way that feels honest and earned. Their dynamic is slow-burn perfection.

I also loved that the book didn’t shy away from deeper themes. Dora’s cousin’s storyline, especially her decision to visit the workhouses, added unexpected depth and showed real character growth. Everyone in this book is becoming better in their own way — it’s gentle, it’s hopeful, and it stays with you.

If you’re missing the Ton while waiting for the next season of Bridgerton and you love a touch of fae magic, this book is absolutely for you.
